This little trip out goes up there with the artwork on the fridge in making me a fully paid up member of the Mummy Club. My Euna's first trip to Clarks.
Why has it taken you 13 months to get a proper shoe fitting?
Because my dear little daughter has inherited her mother's teenie feet. Until now she has been in pre-walker things from Next for 3 months old. We kept trying her in friend's shoes in the smallest sizes and only recently did they not resemble flippers. So off to Clarks we went.
Clarks do a lovely First Shoes package. They enter you into a prize draw where you could win £250 worth of shoes, take and print a picture and pop it on a little "First Shoes" card and give you a little booklet of caring for your shoes and how often they should be measured. It's free, it's cute and it makes a bit of an occasion out of the whole thing. Nice work Clarks.
Euna was barely on the scale at a 2. Her right foot was even quite a bit below the 2 line but the assistant thought they would be ok...
The winner is...
For the keepsake box... Though it's having a short stay on our mantel piece first...
AH! Come on! Who DOESN'T WANT TO TAKE THIS PIC?! 10 points for cute. 0 for originality.
How sweet. I remember taking Reagan to get properly fitted for her first pair of shoes. My mother in law was out visiting us.
